Shelly Stockmal Earns SHRM-CP Certification

The Victory Bank is proud to announce that Shelly Stockmal, VP, Victory Community Leader, completed the SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional) Certification in July 2019. Developed by the Society for Human Resources Management (“SHRM”), this credential provides HR professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of the core competencies needed to ensure success in today’s demanding business environment. It assesses consistent standards of knowledge and proficiency in the HR field and includes strategic thinking, implementing practices for optimal efficiency, and effective handling of a wide variety of situations.

To be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP exam, applicants must meet specific work experience and education criteria. Stockmal met those requirements with nearly 30 years of banking experience. She is an important part of Victory Bank’s Leadership team. Stockmal serves as Treasurer to the Board of the Greater Pottstown Society for Human Resources Management (“GPSHRM”), which holds monthly meetings focused on educating local professionals involved in the field of Human Resources. GPSHRM recently won the prestigious EXCEL Gold Award for its accomplishments in 2018.

Stockmal has strong community involvement, including over ten years of being a Girl Scout Leader. She was honored as the Volunteer of the year in 2016 by the Manatawny Service Unit. Stockmal also serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Finance Council Member at Saint Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Stowe.
